Antique Etschtal Cycle Path (Etschradweg)
The Etschtal Cycle Path is the cycle tour through the South Tyrolean Apple orchards par excellence, an absolute highlight for all cycling and apple fans. The trail is 300 km long in total. An 80 km long section runs mostly flat along the ancient Via Claudia Augusta Roman road in South Tyrol, past enchanting apple orchards, biotopes, meadows and, of course, along the course of the Etsch - the longest river in South Tyrol. The 86 km section from Reschensee lake to Meran/Merano is considered particularly attractive.

Variety-rich mountain bike tours in the Vinschgau valley

Numerous refreshment stops offer traditional Vinschgau cuisine - in part based on South Tyrolean Apples.

Not tired yet?
Some particularly sporty tours take place at the heart of the Algund/Lagundo apple groves near Meran. If you can't get enough of great scenic views, the panorama tour on the Sonnenberg mountain range in the Mittelvinschgau region is truly a must. It starts above the marble quarry in Laas/Lasa, then extends gently through the apple orchards, slightly uphill to the churchyards where wonderful views of the apple orchards and the Ortler mountain group can be enjoyed. It continues towards Schluderns/Sluderno and Churburg castle, famous far beyond the provincial borders. Here the cycle route joins the perfectly laid out Vinschgau Cycle Path and leads along the Etsch, the largest river in South Tyrol, and then back to Laas. CYCLING TOURS THROUGH SOUTH TYROL
